Manager’s Report

  • Signatories for bank accounts now complete
  • Stock loss insurance claim. Co-op must pay $250 excess (approx) for $1000 (approx) of stock loss due to storm damage
  • The amount of wages being payed is working well
  • Chairs/lounge suite in co-op to be swapped

Financial Report

  • The Co-op is looking ‘healthy’

Accomodation Report

  • The DA application has gone through, waiting on financials
  • Public recognition to be discussed with Dance etc. before announcements
  • Electric vs. Gas stove
  • Will use electric oven and by consensus switch to ‘green power’

General Business

  • Tues/Thurs evening shifts
Extra vouchers will be made available to co-ordinators who are on closing shifts and who spend up to an hour on over-time. Co-ordinators are to put their names in the ‘extra hours’ book at their discretion.
  • Merchant Members
It was agreed (re-affirmed) that the shop manager has the right to reject merchant members produce on the basis of overstocking on fruit and veg. Merchant Members are to inform the shop manager before bringing in stock.
  • Bottled water
Bottled water not to be sold in shop.
  • ACT Health Promotion Grants
Grant rejected. Paul Maggery to send in application again.
  • Memberships approved by consensus

At the end of the meeting there was a general discussion about co-ordinators, particularly in relation to dealing with confrontational, dangerous or potentially dangerous situations. It was decided agreed that Nat would inform co-ords of their right to leave the co-op when under threat etc. These issues will be deferred to next meeting along with discussion of stock origin and buying from overseas.
