Talk:Work hours
From ANU Food Co-op Wiki
So, did I hear talk about talking about maybe increasing the work hours requirements to twelve hours a year? —Sam Wilson (co-ordie, collectivite, sysop) 15:04, 9 November 2006 (EST)
I think that's a great idea. Lots of members do more than the required six hours, so it would be a small step in recognising their work and it would also make the co-op a nicer place with more people taking the time to care about it. Most other co-ops require at least 1 hour per week to receive the extra discount! See below for details. —Adele 09:15, 10 November 2006 (EST)
- Alfalfa House requires 2 hours work per week to receive an extra discount.
- Blue Mountains Food Co-op gives an extra discount on up to $200 worth of shopping to members who do 4 hours of work. So that means, if you spend on average $50 a week, that's 1 hour work per week.
- Manly Co-op requires 8 hours work per year just to receive the basic discount and to remain a member.
- Melbourne Uni Food Co-op requires 2 hours work per work to receive an extra discount.
- Hot Banana, the Griffith University Co-op requires roughly 1 hour per week.
- Happy Bellies, the University of Wollongong Co-op requires 1 hour per fortnight.
